Cùng với  phái đoàn người Việt vận động nhân quyền cho Việt Nam tại Bộ Ngoại giao Mỹ, Hội Phụ Nữ Cờ Vàng New England đã gửi thỉnh nguyện thư sau đây đến Bộ Ngoại Giao Mỹ kêu gọi chính phủ Hoa Kỳ yểm trợ và giúp đở cho Hội Phụ Nữ Nhân Quyền Việt Nam:

WE PETITION THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF STATE TO:

Provide necessary assistance to the
Assembly of Vietnamese Women for Human Rights.

Dear Secretary of State John F. Kerry, 

In November 2013, Ms. Huynh Thuc Vy and more than one hundred member sisters established an Assembly called “Vietnamese Women for Human Rights” in Vietnam. Their purposes as stated in the Assembly Proclamation:

• Connect disadvantageous women and individuals together, those who are vulnerable to the violation of human rights.

• Speak out and take practical action to protect women whose dignity and fundamental human rights have been infringed upon.

• Share and disseminate knowledge in order to improve the understanding of Vietnamese women on human rights and the role of women in a society that respects human rights.

Since then, they constantly have been harassed, invitation subpoena, interrogated by uniformed and plain clothed polices of the Vietnamese Communist Government.

We urgently request our embassy and consular offices in Vietnam to provide necessary assistance to these activists, who encourage democratic development, promote respect for Human Rights and therefore advance peace and security in the region.
